Councilwoman Stephanie Gordon has been named the 2018 Volunteer of the Year by Tri-Cities High School. On Thursday, March 29, she was recognized for her outstanding service at the 5th annual Volunteer of the Year Luncheon hosted by Fulton County Schools at the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center. Councilwoman Gordon has been a volunteer at Tri-Cities High School for two-years. She’s partnered with CNN to raise global awareness about human trafficking through hosting forums with Student Government Association (SGA) students and staff at Tri-Cities High School. She’s also been instrumental in sponsoring Tri-Cities High School’s “Top 10 Luncheon for Seniors” and their “Top 35 Breakfast.” The luncheon recognizes the top 10 academic graduating seniors and the breakfast recognizes the top 35 students selected by teachers. Councilwoman Gordon says this recognition means so much to her.

“This recognition is incredibly humbling because it came as such a surprise,” said Councilwoman Stephanie Gordon. “I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with Tri-Cities High School and all of our schools because education is critical to making our community great. This means everything to me.”
