Utility Disconnection for Non-Payment Resumes after August 31st

The City of East Point disconnection policy for non-payment and penalties will resume after August 31, 2020. As the pandemic continues to impact our valued customers, our drive-thru will remain open from 8:30am-4:30pm, however, our lobby will remain closed to the public. Payments are also being accepted through our website, www.eastpointcity.org, or by phone (404) 270-7010. Please check our website for updates. Customer Care Residential New Service

Due to COVID-19, Customer Care is closed to the Public.
In order to set up new service, or transfer service to a new location within East Point, click on the appropriate link below and complete the application. Provide two forms of identification that is listed on the first page of the application, provide a copy of the lease/warranty deed/settlement statement. The lease/warranty deed/settlement statement must be signed by the property owner and the tenant.

Once the application is completed, drop off the completed application and supporting documents with the money order or cashier’s check made payable to the City of East Point in our drop boxes located at 2791 East Point Street in front of the Customer Care building or the Customer Care Drive-Thru located at the end of the street in the stand alone building.

  • If the property has electric services only the deposit will be $125.00 and a connection fee of $60.00.
  • If the property has electric and water services, the deposit will be $125.00 for electric and $75.00 for water and a connection fee of $60.00.
  • If the property has water services only, the deposit will be $75.00 and a connection fee of $60.00.
  • If the services are being transferred, the $60.00 connection fee will be required.

Please allow three (3) business days for the utility account to be set-up for new services.

The payment for the deposit will be accepted in the form of a money or cashier’s check made payable to the City of East Point and provide the address and the name of the account holder.
Once the new service is set-up an email will be sent from Customer Care with the new account information and a copy of the receipt for payment.
