Hank Aaron Oak Tree Named State Co-Champion Tree by Georgia Forestry Commission

The Georgia Forestry Commission has named the Hank Aaron Oak Tree in Connally Nature Park as a state Co-Champion Tree through Georgia’s Champion Tree Program. A champion tree is defined as the largest known tree of a particular species. We share the title with a similar tree in Alpharetta. Here are the dimensions:

Circumference= 200 inches
Height= 168 feet
Crown Spread= 120 feet
Total Points= 398
