WILLIAM B. TATE
INTERIM FIRE CHIEF
As Interim Fire Chief, William B. Tate is responsible for managing three Fire Stations and over 70 employees in a city with more than 35,000 residents. Chief Tate entered the Fire Service in October of 1999. Over the years, he worked his way up the ranks from Firefighter to Fire Apparatus Operator, Lieutenant, Training Officer, Battalion Chief and Deputy Chief before stepping into his present role.
