Correction of Property Tax Due Date
East Point residents may have received conflicting information regarding the due date on their property tax bills. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this error. Following is the correct information that should have appeared on your bill:
Property Tax Due Date: December 13, 2015 (When the due date falls on a Sunday, payment is due the following business day).
The 2015 tax bill and storm water fee due date is December 13, 2015. If you plan to claim these taxes when filing your 2015 tax return, the payment must be received by 12/31/15.
Interest accrues at 1% per month beginning December 15, 2015 until paid in full.
As of today, October 26, 2015, the Drive-thru at Customer Care is temporarily closed due to a power outage. We will post an update to this site once services have been restored.
THE CITY OF EAST POINT ESTABLISHED GRACE PERIOD FOR MAKING A PAYMENT WITHOUT ACCRUING ANY LATE FEES WILL END ON AUGUST 31, 2015.
CUSTOMER CARE NORMAL OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES WILL BEGIN ON SEPTEMBER 1, 2015.
As we approach the end of the audit, please be advised that all delinquent accounts will be subjected to interruption as of September 9, 2015, beginning with Cycle 1 and ending with Cycle 18.

The Customer Care Department is the latest department created by the City Council. Customer Care is a department that supports our major utility services (Electric, Water, Sewer, Solid Waste) and is comprised of three different divisions; Meter Services, Customer Service and Collections. The Department consists of nearly 40 full-time employees, waiting to serve the needs of our customers.
