                                           IMPORTANT NOTICE

                             Correction of Property Tax Due Date

East Point residents may have received conflicting information regarding the due date on their property tax bills.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this error.  Following is the correct information that should have appeared on your bill:

Property Tax Due Date:  December 13, 2015 (When the due date falls on a Sunday, payment is due the following business day).

The 2015 tax bill and storm water fee due date is December 13, 2015.  If you plan to claim these taxes when filing your 2015 tax return, the payment must be received by 12/31/15.

Interest accrues at 1% per month beginning December 15, 2015 until paid in full.                     
The Customer Care Department will be closed on the following dates at the times listed to conduct meetings with the goal of better meeting the needs of you, our valued customer.
December 23, 2015  - 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
March 25, 2016        - 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.              
June 24, 2016          - 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.    

September 23, 2016 - 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. 
November 23, 2016  - 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
December 22, 2016  - 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Customer Care Department will also be closed in observance of the following holidays:
Christmas Eve:  Closed December 24, 2015
Christmas Day:  Closed December 25, 2015
New Year's Eve: Closed at Noon on December 31, 2015
New Year's Day: Closed All Day January 1, 2016
The Customer Care Department is the latest department created by the City Council. Customer Care is a department that supports our major utility services (Electric, Water, Sewer, Solid Waste) and is comprised of three different divisions; Meter Services, Customer Service and Collections. The Department consists of nearly 40 full-time employees, waiting to serve the needs of our customers.

Same Day Service

All applications should be completed and submitted by 4:00 p.m.
