corner building.jpg Downtown East Point  is a wonderfully diverse, historic area that is home to some of the most popular local dining options, historic buildings, inviting storefronts,  MARTA Train Station and the Downtown Commons Area which hosts festivals, special events and farmer’s markets throughout the year. Downtown East Point also boasts a fabulous dinner theatre with live performances throughout the year. In addition, it is surrounded by  neighborhoods full of character , showcasing a variety of architectural styles, including  the classic craftsman bungalow.  For a fun family activity, or to satisfy the history buff in you, you can download a Downtown Walking Map created by the East Point Historical Society. The Dick Lane Velodrome was inspired by a group of residents and City officials who visited the 1972 Munich Olympic Games. It was one of only two in the U.S. when it was constructed in 1974. It served as a training facility for the 1996 Olympic Games. It is currently the second steepest concrete track in the country and one of the most unique in the world! Visit during one of three Pro-Race Series events throughout the year for a truly invigorating and unique experience featuring world class athletes and former Olympians!


East Point Historical Society.
Explore East Point’s vibrant history at the
East Point Historical Society . It’s collection  includes a variety of  historic documents and items including an abundance of photos, artifacts, newspapers, yearbooks and a retired train on display– tours available by appointment!  Admission is FREE! Georgia Sports Park
 offers a sports enthusiast the opportunity to play on international quality turf soccer fields with 6 of 16 planned fields built out in a 100 acre master planned facility. A 500+ seat stadium is a part of the master plan. In addition to soccer, the sports park accommodates other competitions, both local and regional, for sports such as  rugby and ultimate frisbee.

East Point Nightlife.
East Point offers a variety of nightlife options. 
Camp Creek Marketplace is home to multiple sports bars and dance/hip hop clubs, some offering VIP suites. In addition, Movies ATL is right next door offering 14 large screens. Downtown East Point has several bars and taverns that offer everything from sports, billiards, poker nights, trivia nights and live bands.

East Point offers a variety of unique events for the whole family all year long, including popular food events, fall festivals w/carnival and circus, the biggest benefit drag show in the Southeast and the largest pyro digital choreographed fireworks celebration in South Fulton County, East Point offers something for everyone! In addition, the City offers its Friday Night Flicks outdoor movies on the Commons green space in Spring and Summer. A Farmer’s Market runs from May-October and becomes a Holiday Market in November & December. Most of the events and activities offer FREE parking and FREE admission

Downtown East Point boasts everything from local mom and pop restaurants to a local pub to a unique raw vegan restaurant frequently visited by celebrities.
