Have you ever wished that your monthly bills would remain around the same amount every month? If so, then East Point Budget Billing program is for you. Our Budget Billing program allows you to spread the cost of your bills over an entire year. This plan is only available to residential customers who have been in good standings with the City of East Point and must have a zero balance at the time of sign up.
Here’s how the program works:
- Customer Service Division will calculate the monthly average of your past 12 months of electric, water and sewer use totals to determine what your monthly Budget Billing amount will be for the next 12 months.
- After your first 12 months on the program, you will receive a new Budget Billing amount based on your actual electric, water and sewer use charges for the previous 12 months.
Remember…Donations to Project Share, Green Energy and any other fees are billed monthly as separate line items and they will not be included in your Budget Billing amount but are included in your monthly TOTAL AMOUNT DUE.
Also worth noting, accounts that become delinquent while on the program will be removed from the program and if for any reason you ask to be removed from the program, you will need to pay the total amount owed on the account by the next bill due date.
Beginning December 5, 2011 you will be able to sign up
during the for open enrollment year round. Once your application has been reviewed and accepted, you will be on your way toward budgeting your monthly utility bills with the City of East Point Budget Billing program!
