Electric Cities of Georgia (ECG) under the Green Street Residential Energy Efficient Program allocated approximately $234,000 in September 2011 to the City of East Point to expand its residential retrofit program as well as conduct other energy-related activities. Funds had to be expended by 12/31/2011. The amount expended totaled $144,239.21. Staff was able to purchase the items listed below. These items will be available, free of charge, at the Community Energy Fair on February 25, 2012. Residents in the City of East Point may pick up these items between 10:00am and 2:00pm at 1526 East Forrest Avenue in the Jefferson Station Lobby. Residents must bring their State Issued ID showing proof of residency. One item per table per household, while supplies last. - Saving Energy & Water coloring books and crayons - 12 Easy Ways booklet - Gas and Electric Eco-Kits - Water Heater Blanks, aerators, programmable thermostats, light bulbs, shower heads, lamps, etc.
